The California Insurrection: A Planned Betrayal

The chaos that erupted in Los Angeles is no spontaneous uprising; it is a meticulously planned and ongoing insurrection fueled by a toxic alliance of foreign enemies and domestic traitors. The betrayal runs from the streets to the highest offices of the state. It’s a conspiracy where federal taxpayer money is funneled to the very groups organizing the insurrection. This support was made explicit on August 30, 2024, when Mayor Karen Bass’s office announced she had secured major federal support for the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA), creating a direct pipeline from the U.S. government to a key organizer of the insurrection. CHIRLA’s own action fund listed her as a supporter of the DREAM Act in late 2017.

At the heart of the violence is the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL), a disciplined Marxist cadre providing the ideological framework for the insurrection; they actively engage in propaganda efforts that mirror Chinese state media, defending the CCP’s actions in Hong Kong and its internal policies. The PSL’s connection to this insurrection is not incidental; they are the ideological core, providing the anti-American framework and organizational discipline for the insurrection you see on the streets.

This is not mere protest—it is hybrid warfare. As FBI Director Kash Patel has made clear, “We are aggressively pursuing the financial trails of these so-called activist groups, which are showing all the organizational hallmarks of sophisticated state-sponsored actors… The American people need to understand that this is not about protest; this is hybrid warfare being waged on our streets, and we will follow the money wherever it leads, both foreign and domestic.”

And why is this betrayal allowed to happen? Because Governor Gavin Newsom uses “business interests” as a smokescreen to justify his administration’s treasonous relationship with the CCP. He consistently touts the scale of California’s trade relationship with China—which stands at over $166 billion annually—as being too big to fail. This unholy alliance has sold out American security for profit, and the insurrection is the price being paid on our streets.

The depth of this conspiracy is found in the data—the names, the dollar amounts, and the stated policies that reveal the treasonous collaboration between California’s elite, domestic insurrectionists, and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

The Los Angeles riots are a planned insurrection. Follow the money. The Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (CHIRLA), a key organizer of the initial protests that spiraled into an ongoing insurrection, has been massively funded by a network of powerful, tax-subsidized foundations. For instance, the Ford Foundation has funneled at least $5.2 million to CHIRLA. The Evelyn and Walter Haas, Jr. Fund has contributed over $3.7 million. Other major donors include the California Endowment, which has given over $5.6 million, and the James Irvine Foundation, which has provided more than $2 million. These foundations operate as tax-exempt entities, meaning the American taxpayer is indirectly subsidizing their multi-million dollar grants to an organization that is central to an insurrection against the United States of America. Furthermore, reports indicate that while serving in Congress, Mayor Karen Bass helped secure at least $1.3 million in federal taxpayer money for CHIRLA, creating a direct pipeline from the U.S. Treasury to the groups organizing these riots.

While CHIRLA provides the “human rights” veneer, the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) provides the hardened Marxist ideology and muscle. The PSL is not a grassroots movement; it is a disciplined, Leninist organization whose goal is the overthrow of the U.S. government. It was founded in 2004 by a faction that split from the Workers World Party, another hardcore communist group. The PSL’s activities and rhetoric are consistently aligned with U.S. adversaries, most notably the CCP. They actively engage in propaganda efforts that mirror Chinese state media, defending the CCP’s actions in Hong Kong and its internal policies. The PSL’s connection to the riots is not incidental; they are the ideological core, providing the anti-American framework and organizational discipline for the chaos you see on the streets.

Governor Gavin Newsom uses “business interests” as a smokescreen to justify his administration’s dangerous relationship with the CCP. He consistently touts the scale of California’s trade relationship with China—which stands at over $166 billion annually—as being too big to fail. His administration argues that this economic interdependence is vital for California’s key industries, including technology, agriculture, and logistics (ports). This is the justification used for events like the China-California Business Forum, which Newsom’s team presents as a necessary platform for maintaining these lucrative ties. However, this argument deliberately ignores the massive security risks and the fact that the CCP uses these “business” relationships as a primary vector for political influence operations, espionage, and money laundering.

This strategy is amplified by figures like Jim Wunderman, President & CEO of the Bay Area Council. The Council, which represents over 300 of the region’s largest employers, has a specific “Global Competitiveness” strategy that heavily features China. Wunderman’s public position is that California must “lead the way” in building “subnational” relationships with Chinese provinces, effectively bypassing President Trump. The strategy involves creating deep dependencies in tech supply chains and green energy partnerships. In practice, this means Wunderman and the powerful CEOs he represents are lobbying for policies that increase American reliance on a hostile foreign power, directly enabling the economic leverage the CCP holds over California’s political class.

This is not a protest. It is a multi-faceted and ongoing insurrection, funded by a pipeline of foundation and taxpayer money, executed by disciplined Marxist groups, and enabled by a treasonous political and business elite in California that has chosen to align itself with the Chinese Communist Party against the interests of the United States.
